When Brooke used to head out as a child with her Dad, servicing stand-by generators for rural hospitals and supermarkets in Queensland, she could never have anticipated that she’d one day be running the show. In 2008 Brooke purchased Genergy Australia from her parents and now sits at the helm as Managing Director of a 25-yo business that has grown into a significant entity in the Queensland Generator Industry.

Brooke draws from her Bachelor of Business (QUT) and Masters of Professional Accounting (QUT) to run a successful company that focuses on offering exceptional customer service through good management and the use of new field technologies.

• Brooke loves to hike mountains with the highest being Kala Patthar at 5643m.
• Brooke often dreams of running away to the bush and operating an animal refuge.

Simon joined the company in 2010 and has proven to be the dependable backbone of the company. He is passionate about maintaining a great work culture and ensuring that the team at Genergy Australia work well together.

Simon’s ‘C’ personality ensures that contracts run smoothly and he is a gun at finding obscure parts. Simon is a skilled listener and will always attempt to find the best solution for our customers.

• Simon is an avid Adelaide Crows fan which is why he always looks cranky.
• Simon played for the AFL QLD team as a teenager.
• Simon is a bitcoin believer and is waiting for the day he can buy an island.

Diann co-founded the business back in 1995 and remains the stalwart of the company. Diann manages the Accounts Receiveable and Payable Department and enjoys working in a dynamic and fast paced business.

Don’t let her golden years fool you, as she is the sharpest tool in the shed.

• Diann is a keen traveler and has traveled through India on a motorbike.
• Diann can’t relax until every account is reconciled to the cent.

For the past 6.5 years Megan has provided excellent Administration and Customer Service to Genergy Australia’s Customer Base. Working closely with both Management & Technicians providing Administration Support, Megan is a integral part of the Genergy Team.

Megan has brought over 30 Years of Administration experience to the Company. She has worked in various Administration based rolls with Professional organisations, gaining valuable experience which has been an asset as the Company has experienced a lot of growth over the past 6 Years. Additionally, Megan has cultivated a harmonious and fastidious work environment within the office and continues to add to the ongoing success of the Genergy Australia Team.

• Loves multiple cups of tea per day
• Changes the layout of her desk frequently to keep it tidy and organised

Mick is a master multi-tasker being our Customer Asset Manager as well as our Field Diesel Mechanic. Mick holds a Certificate III in Engineering and has over 20 years’ experience with heavy machinery and diesel generator sets.

Mick enjoys working closely with the technical team to ensure that work is completed to a high standard. Mick is passionate about working closely with customers to ensure Genergy Australia provides the most effective and value-for-money services and products.

• Mick enjoys Fishing. No fish are ever harmed (or caught) when Mick fishes.
• Mick is happiest when the Brisbane Lions beat the Adelaide Crows.
• Mick has decided recently he will now start counting his age backwards.
• Mick likes cake, Micks waistline dislikes cake.

Rob brings with him over 20 years’ experience in the Generator Industry as a licensed Electrical Fitter Mechanic.

His level head makes him highly skilful at fault-finding while his vast knowledge of all things electrical makes him the go-to person for the technical team. Rob has been with Genergy Australia for over 7 years and has helped better the company through his dedication to safety, our customers and the team.

Westy is a licensed Electrical Fitter Mechanic with over 40 years’ experience in the electrical industry. Westy cut his teeth on Power Stations in the Pilbara and has a vast array of skills.

He is passionate about learning new technologies and applying them in the field. Westy has been with Genergy Australia for four years and has proven to be popular with the team and our customers. He is a gun at upgrading obsolete Control Systems and enjoys the challenges of working with stand-by power.

Jimmy is one of our newest electrical team members and what a positive mark he has made. Jimmy has over 13 years’ experience as a licensed Electrical Fitter Mechanic working as a foreman and lead electrician on major refurbishments and upgrades. His passion for all things mechanical led him to Genergy Australia to learn more about Diesel Gen Sets and he has proven to be skilled at both electrical and mechanical repairs.

Jimmy loves a challenge and enjoys fault-finding in the field and using new technology. His easy-going nature makes him extremely popular with the team and our customers.

Robroy co-founded Genergy Australia with his wife Diann over 25 year’s ago. After building a reputable company with a large customer base he handed the reigns over to his daughter Brooke in 2008. Robroy left a large mark on the Generator industry with customers still mentioning his name 12 years after he retired.

No job was too big or too small for Robroy and he enjoyed the many challenges of operating a successful. dynamic business.

Joel is our newest super star field electrician.  Joel has over 5 years of experience as a qualified Electrical Fitter Mechanic in a variety of industries.  His calm and positive temperament make him a gun in high-pressure situations and unplanned failures.

Joel’s a bit of an old man at heart and loves all things retro…so much so he wore a chocolate brown safari suit to a wedding once. His own wedding. He owns a tractor that’s so old it apparently runs on kerosene, diesel and some sort of farmer subsidised agricultural fuel banned in the 60’s that he can’t remember the name of. He thinks that’s the coolest thing ever. In his spare time Joel enjoys being attached to or working on anything with an engine, be it a car, bike, or boat… followed by a relaxing afternoon fishing on the beach.
